The D.D. is located at the Department of Political and Legal Sciences of the University of Messina, Piazza XX Settembre 4, 98122.
The Plesso, recently restored, is equipped with multimedia classrooms, laboratories and reading rooms with computer stations connected to the network available to PhD students.
Book heritage
The Scipog Library (about 150,000 library units) is distinguished by the multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary character of the collections, able to cover all the general and specific themes inherent in the Course, thanks also to important specific funds: "Cingari" (History, politics, sociology), "D'Amoja" (History of international relations), "Centorrino" (Economy). Users will also be able to take advantage of the very rich collections of the University Library.
The library system of the University of Messina (SBA) also makes available to PhD students a large number of national and international scientific journals in print format and the main on-line journals of the most qualified national publishers (Il Mulino, Laterza, Rubbettino, Editoriale Scientifica, etc).

Doctoral students will be able to take advantage of, among other things, the following databases: EBSCO, IL FORO ITALIANO, Info.Leges.it, IUSEXPLORER, TORROSSA, ASTRID (resource managed by the Foundation for Analysis, Studies and Research on the Reform of Democratic Institutions and Innovation in Public Administrations), RIVISTEWEB, Orbis Bank Focus, ACNP (Italian Catalogue of Periodicals), AIDA.

Space and resources for PhD students and electronic computing
In the Scipog Department there are 3 reading rooms, one of which is equipped with networked PCs; 2 consultation rooms and classrooms equipped for lessons.
Doctoral students will be able to take advantage of the PC workstations for bibliographic research on the web, as well as access the services of the computerized system of the University SBA, which ensures the use of the University's bibliographic heritage, which can be consulted 24 hours a day both from the University facilities and through remote access (VPN).
